Industrial vision (machine vision)

Machine vision

  • Completeness check
  • Find errors
  • Quality check
  • Measuring
  • Positioning

Machine vision can be used in numerous different inspection tasks. One use case could be a completeness check - are all pakages filled or are all punch holes clearly crafted. The big advantage of machine vision is its flexibility. We can program each vision application in a way that it is capable of checking numerous different products or giving it the ability to be customized very easily.

The task of quality control is, to check products for defects or errors. Machine vision can check products for scratches or check the correct assembly of components.

Many times it is very important, that components comply with certain tolerances. These have to be measured. Holes or cut outs have to be present in certain measures and in certain numbers or have to have special angles. All these things can be checked and measured by a machine vision system.

If a robot has to move to an exact point, a machine vision system is necessary in almost all cases.
